The swimming pool family
The tragic story of the two kids and dad dying in the swimming pool on holiday is an odd story.

The mum is saying they were all strong swimmers and there must have been an issue with the pool.

Why type of issue would hold three strong swimmers, one a grown man and the other a 16yo boy under the water for so long as to drown?

Strong swimmers?
But weren’t they .... you know

Re: The swimming pool family
The report I read yesterday said they couldn’t swim.

It is a very odd turn of events though.

Couldn't swim = accident

Strong swimmers, pool faulty = compensation

Yes I read that none of them could swim, it’s funny what engaging a solicitor can change

Johnson - another daughter at the resort said they couldn’t swim. The mother not at the resort said they were all strong swimmers.

Surely a pool fault would be easily recognised, especially one that can hold that many people under water for that length of time.

It does seem a bit strange. Surely if a pools design had the potential to suck three strong swimmers underwater you would expect that to be picked up before it actually got built

Re: The swimming pool family
What sort of ‘pool fault’ are we talking about?

Someone running 50,000 volts through it or tipping in a bucket of piranhas?

Being able to swim doe's not mean you cannot drown.....that said there is more to this than meets the eye I suspect!

Re: The swimming pool family
I would guess the vast majority of adults who can swim drown in pools do so after consuming alcohol or drugs or hitting their heads diving in.
‘Strong swimmers’ seems unlikely

Re: The swimming pool family
She says that they walked into the pool down the steps and when they reached the middle an unidentified powerful force pulled them down and drowned them. The pool equipment was found to not be faulty. And she has confirmed that they were all strong swimmers. So the force is truly mysterious.

This happened on Christmas Eve.

She then went on to say that she has been comforted and strengthened by her strong faith in the lord jesus christ.

Which I found quite ironic.

So they are big believers in J Christ who responds by killing them on Christmas Eve.
Hallelujah!

Can’t be electrocution - another child was in the pool at the same time.

Do it has to be either:

A) a suction / filter pump powerful enough to hold three swimmers, 1 an adult man and another a 16yo male , underwater

B)?

My theory is his wife has dumped him, so decided to top himself and thought she's not having the kids so did them in too.

Either that or none of them had learned to swim and had gone in the deep end.

Re: The swimming pool family
Even not being able to swim, I can't fathom how 3 people can die in that pool. They must have Bern only metres from where they could stand up.

Truly baffling

Re: The swimming pool family
Probably all drowned by accident.
Must have been out of pool hours if no lifeguard was on duty and no-one else was around.

Maybe the daughter got stuck or got her hair caught in the filter or something and they, not being strong swimmers, drowned trying to help her?

It looked surrounded by villas and whatnot, so I'm surprised no-one saw or heard anything?

Bloody awful though.
